Fall of Nineveh: The God of Justice and Mercy

The prophet Nahum describes God's judgment of the great city of Nineveh leading to its downfall. This was the same city that had repented for a time after the warning brought by the prophet Jonah. We see that God is long-suffering, yet just. God's mercy shields the faithful, while His righteous wrath destroys the unrepentant.
