Advent Scripture Reading December 2

In this passage we see that Jacob speaks a prophetic blessing over his sons. To Judah he says: “The scepter will not depart from Judah.” In other words: A King is coming. Not just any king—the King above every king.

This early prophecy points ahead to Jesus, the Lion of Judah. The Light of the world was not an accident or an afterthought. He was the plan from the very beginning.  If life feels unstable, remember: the scepter is still in His hand and the King is still on the throne.
