What is your favorite Christmas decoration? What about the story of Jesus does it represent?

Many of our decorations have theological roots, and it can be a ton of fun to look them up and talk about it! Talk about how the ways we celebrate point to the truth of scripture, like Christmas lights and our verse today John 1:4-5.

What does it mean for us that Jesus is the light of the world?

Jesus is God, and so when He came to earth He brought God’s wisdom and truth  to bring light to our dark world. Talk through how Jesus Being God reveals to us the way we can live in truth and right before God. He literally lights the path for us!
