Advent family discussion questions:

One of the things we do to celebrate Christmas is spend time with friends and family. Does spending time with people you love make Christmas more special?

This question is hinting at how God made us for relationships, with Him and others. Talk through how spending time together at Christmas helps us appreciate the good things God made us for, like being with our loved ones!

One of Jesus’ names is Immanuel, which means ‘God with us’. What does it teach us about God that He wants to be with us?

God didn’t just make us for relationships with others, He wants us to know Him! Talk through how Jesus coming to dwell with us shows God’s love for us, and His desire for us to know Him.
